Advance Polls Open For Fort McMurray-Conklin Byelection

Advance polls are now open for the Fort McMurray-Conklin byelection.

From now until Saturday – those in the riding can cast a ballot between 9 a.m. – 8 p.m. at the Fort Chipewyan Municipal Office and the Fort McMurray Business Centre on Gregoire Drive.

Three additional one-day polling stations will also be set up in the rural communities.

    Friday, July 6

    Fort McKay First Nation Band Office

In order to vote, you must be a Canadian citizen, live in the electoral riding, and be at least 18-year-old or older on Election Day.

Five candidates are running to become the next MLA, including NDP candidate Jane Stroud, Laila Goodridge representing the United Conservative Party, Alberta Party candidateSid Fayad, Liberal candidateRobin Le Fevre, and Brian Deheer representing the Green Party.

Election day is next Thursday, July 12.

Debate Live on Fort McMurray Matters

Before election day candidates will square off on a live one-hour debated on Fort McMurray Matters hosted by Mix 103.7 in partnership with the Fort McMurray Today.

For one-hour candidates will debate topics affecting the riding and province.
