Diana McQueen and the NDP leader both appearing on a CBC Radio show Saturday.

Where Mulcair blamed the oil sands for pushing up the Canadian dollar to an artificially high level.

Which he says has harmed the manufacturing sector in other provinces, most notably Ontario, Quebec and New Brunswick.

McQueen called his comments divisive, saying she's not sure if he had actually visited the oil sands.
