Armed standoff in Eagle Ridge likely to end in plea deal

The case surrounding an armed stand-off in Eagle Ridge, likely won't go to trial.

A summary disposition at the Court of the Queens Bench is set to start today for Timothy Galliah's case.

The hearing usually indicates that both sides have determined a trial is not warranted and a plea deal is pending.

The 31 year-old was arrested last July after reports of an armed man inside a Timberlea home led to a neighborhood evacuation, which lasted for hours.

Galliah has since undergone physiological testing but those files remain confidential.
