Just 24 hours after the Nomination Day deadline, Wood Buffalo already has it's first two elected councillors.
Ward 2 Councillors David Blair and Sonny Flett have been re-elected by acclamation after Ronald Real Quintal withdrew his nomination before the deadline of 12:00 p.m. today making an election in Ward 2 unnecessary.
Adesesan Babatunde Aina of Ward 1 also withdrew his nomination prior to today's deadline. 
The Municipal Election will take place October 18, 2010.
