Brooke Voight Named To Canada’s Slopestyle And Big Air Snowboard Squad

A Fort McMurray snowboarder is joining a few Olympians and some world champions to represent team Canada at the upcoming winter games.

24-year old Brooke Voigt joins the likes of Mark McMorris, Sebastian Toutant, Max Parrot, Tyler Nicholson, Laurie Blouin and Spencer O’Brien on a loaded Canadian squad.

Voigt, who was a Sochi alternate in 2014, won FIS World Cup Medals in both big-air and slope-style in 2017.

She notched a top-ten finish at the Big-Air Olympic test-run, a bronze medal in slope-style at the World Cup and 2nd place finish at the Andorran World Snowboard Tour.

That 2nd place finish was behind only Blouin.

The slope-style events run from February 10-12, while Big Air will take place later in the games.
