Child struck by vehicle

A vehicle/pedestrian accident this morning is reminding motorists about their driving behavior.

A young boy riding a scooter on his way to school was hit by a car on Real Martin Drive just before 8 o'clock.

Corporal George Cameron says luckily the boy is all right.

"He was in the crosswalk there at that intersection. a lady driving a vehicle was turning onto Real Martin, struck the little fella," says Cameron.

Cameron says the boy was taken to hospital as a precaution and his parents contacted.

He says charges are pending against the driver.
