Drivers will be seeing double double when they hit the Tim Horton's drive-thru in Thickwood Wednesday.
In an attempt to address traffic spilling over onto the streets and safety concerns caused by long line-ups, Fort McMurray will become one of Canada's first communities to incorporate a double-order drive-thru.
The re-design and construction is being paid for by the company, which will also undergo a store renovation in January.
A double-double drive-thru is also being considered for the Tim Horton's downtown.
Earlier this year the Municipality put up signs warning driver's they could not turn into the drive-thrus from either Hardin Street or Thickwood Boulevard, those were quickly covered up while a strategy was created to curb congestion.
