Double double drive-thru planned for Thickwood Tim Horton's
Fort McMurray's Tim Hortons fans will soon be seeing double.

The municipality is announcing a plan which aims to ease traffic congestion at the city's two Tim Hortons locations.

Spokesperson, Matthew Harrison says the uptown location's drive through will now have double lanes.

"Next Wednesday at some point probably around midday, the new design will be opening at the Thickwood location, so what it is, is a double stack drive through and its one of the first in Canada and it should work out great in terms of getting people off the road and getting people through efficiently and effectively", says Harrison

Harrison says the changes will address concerns over driver and pedestrian safety at the chronically busy coffee shops.
