Dunvegan Gardens fined for diverting water

An investigation launched by Alberta Environment in 2008 has resulted in a hefty fine for a local business.
Dunvegan Gardens was diverting water from the Clearwater River without a licence, and now have to pay a 10-thousand dollar fine.
5-thousand of that will be used to develop an educational program regarding water licensing procedures and water conservation for the Alberta Farm Fresh Producers Association.
Owner Bradley Vere Friesen calls the ruling fair and says Dunvegan Gardens now has all the proper permits in place.
