Fines now being served for stopping on street

Ordering your double-double could cost you more than you bargained for.
Bylaw officers will now be issuing tickets for motorists who disobey  "No Stopping" signs recently installed adjacent to the uptown Tim Hortons on Thickwood Boulevard and on Hardin Street between the Highway 63 exit and MacDonald Avenue.
The Municipality introduced the $172 fines to curb traffic spilling over and backing up motorists, posing potential safety risks. The offence holds a two demerit point penalty.
