Those opposed to Imperial Oil transporting mega-modules along Idaho highways are having their voices heard.
The company is planning to ship more than 200 oversized loads across the state, through Montana and eventually to the Kearl oil sands project north of Fort McMurray.
A hearing began this morning in Boise where concerned business owners and environmentalists will testify.
The state's transportation department has approved Imperial's traffic control plan but has yet to issue actually permits for the loads to travel.
A test load didn't help the company's cause last week when it clipped a power line, leaving around 1,300 residents in the dark.
