Homes Sold See Major Decrease Year Over Year

The number of homes is decreasing for the first time in three months.

According to the Fort McMurray REALTORS May report, 49 properties were bought – up from the 53 in April.

This number is down quite a bit from the 69 last May.

The Realtors note single-family detached homes weren’t a popular choice, however, apartment and lot sales saw a significate increase.

“New listings are down from this time last year resulting in lower inventory levels which will continue to help stabilize our market,” the report read.

Each property sold for an average of $$561,955 down from 2017 and last month.
