The Kearl Oilsands Project could be back on track very soon.
As early as today, it's expected Federal Minister of Fisheries, Loyola Hearn, will reissue a key water permit that was revoked from Imperial Oil.
Last month, a federal court upheld the removal of that key permit, however the feds now say Imperials project won't cause significant environmental effects.
NDP Leader Jack Layton has asked Stephen Harper to step in and halt the fast-tracking of the project.
