Local mountain man Al Hancock has completed his quest for the Seven Summits.
At 7:18 pm on December 14th Hancock and his party reached the summit of Antarctica's tallest mountain, Vinson Massif.
With the accomplishment, Hancock beame just the the 13th Canadian to scale the tallest mountain on each of the Earth's seven continents.
With just one day's worth of food left the party overcame poor weather to complete their goal.
