McFatridge and White found not guilty

Two Fort McMurray men have been found not guilty in a 2008 shooting death in Timberlea.
Michael McFatridge was charged with manslaughter with a firearm and Bernard White was charged with manslaughter in relation to the death of Robert Monti.
The defense for both men argued that White and McFatridge acted in self defense and feared for their lives when Monti broke a glass section of the front door of White's home.
Court also heard testimony that McFatridge was just trying scare Monti away with the rifle and didn't know the gun was loaded.
The prosecution had argued that four people in the home, including the two accused, had discussed shooting Monti prior to the incident.
It took the jury less that four hours to come back with the not guilty verdict.
