Wood Buffalo RCMP believe it won't be long before a suspected voyeur is in handcuffs.
On Tuesday afternoon, a man snuck up behind a female shopper at the River City Centre and started taking pictures up her skirt.
The suspect was caught on surveillance cameras and Constable Jesse Jones says the images are proving invaluable to police.
"We have received some tips into who he is, it's still under investigation, obviously he's been caught on surveillance footage and his pictures are out on the internet, I would encourage him to turn himself into the police because its only a matter of time before we find out who he is," said Jones.
The target of the attack contacted Fort McMurray News and is concerned the behaviour could elevate if the suspect is not apprehended.
"It was shocking it was in the middle of the day, in a mall, I don't expect that to happen, I think that I'm safe, so my guard's kind of down but at least I had the wherewithal to take action. I looked down and got agressive with him, and pushed him back and tried to get the phone from him, hopefully I scared him because he certainly scared me"
Anyone with information is asked to call police at 788-4000 or the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-222-TIPS.
