In the wake of the Alberta Health Services expense scandal, the Canadian Taxpayers Federation is renewing its call for more government transparency.
Scott Hennig, the CTF's Alberta Director says Premier Alison Redford has yet to live up to a promise made during the PC leadership race, to post all MLA and ministerial expenses, including receipts, online.
Hennig says the federal government starting posting expenses eight years ago, so it shouldn't be tough for the province to follow suit.
Yesterday Alberta Health Services announced it would start posting its executives expenses online, after it was revealed that its former CFO and Executive Vice-President made 146 claims totalling nearly $ 350,000s between 2005 and 2008, while working for the former Capital Health Authority.
