Those protesting unsafe conditions along Highway 63, are standing their ground, despite losing their original rally site.
The organizer for Saturday's event, Ashley LaCroix was informed by the municipality, Thursday afternoon, their protest was not welcome on Corless Field.
But that Family Safety Day along with their shared event permit could move next door to the Syncrude Sport and Wellness Centre.
"We've been getting some really great support from the community, a lot of participation from community members and wanted to help out and support the movement for a safer 63, it's disappointing, it's the best way I can put it, but like I said, we're going to move on and we are going to have the event at Mac Island, and we're going to continue, we will be heard no matter what," said LaCroix.
The municipality says use of the field is forbidden for any user group at this time, so a new layer of sod can be maintained for the Summer season.
The rally gets underway at 11:00 am.
