Province introducing new security stamp for tobacco products
The province is introducing a new system to detect illegal tobacco products.

Starting April 1st, packages of cigarettes, tobacco sticks and fine cut tobacco will feature a new red-coloured Alberta stamp to indicate the authenticity of the product.

The stamp also contains increased security features allowing easier detection of counterfeit and contraband tobacco .
