It wasn't a vote against the person but a preference to have someone chosen with a deeper profile in operating the region.
That's what Councillor David Blair said after voting against appointing Kelly Kloss as Acting CAO, at last night's council meeting.
Councillor Mila Byron also voted against Kloss - after expressing issues with his level of education and experience.
Fort McMurray News spoke with Kloss who says he has enough experience with 30 years in the municipal field and a Masters in Business Administration.
Kloss had been working as Deputy CAO since November 2008 before becoming Acting CAO in September of last year.
