RCMP Remind Residents To Lock Doors Following Vehicle Break-ins

Wood Buffalo RCMP have responded to roughly 85 complaints of vehicle break-ins this year alone.

The most recent happened on Friday – when police received reports that several vehicles parked near Hinge Road and Signal Road in Thickwood were broken into.

The Mounties are reminding residents to always lock your door and hide or take out any valuables. They note the most common items taken from vehicles are laptops, tools, wallets, radar detectors, shopping bags, and personal documents.

Police are investigating the complaints.

Anyone with information is asked to contact RCMP at 780-788-4040.
