Apartment vacancies were up, while rent went down within the Wood Buffalo Region between April of last year compared to April 2009.
The April vacancy rate increased from just 0.1 % in '08 to 6.9 % in the same month of this year.
With more vacancies, the average two-bedroom rent in the region declined from $2,350 last April to $2,165 this year.
The total overall average rent, including bachelor, one, two and three bedroom apartments dropped by $105.
