A new 27-hole golf course may soon become a reality in Fort McMurray. The Rotary Club of Fort McMurray brought their plans before Council for an update earlier this week.
They have the land and they have also contacted designer Les Furber who has designed Predator Ridge in Kelowna and Silvertip in Canmore.
Chairman of the Lease Planning Committee Byron Bailey hopes golf could commence on the course as early as 2014.
The Rotary still has to get a formal development permit from Council, which they anticipate to apply for this summer.
