Shooting in Timberlea Sends One To Hospital

Wood Buffalo RCMP are investigating an alleged shooting incident in Timberlea.

On October 25, the Mounties were called to the area of Diefenbaker Drive and St. Laurent Way after getting reports of an individual being shot. They believe the incident took place between 9:00 – 9:30 p.m.

When police arrived, they found the victim with serious injuries, later transporting them to the Northern Lights Regional Health Centre. There’s currently no update on the person’s condition.

It’s also believed that the person or persons involved used a large SUV.

Wood Buffalo General Investigative Services along with the Forensic Identification Unit continue to investigate the shooting. They don’t believe this was a random act.

Anyone with any information is being asked to contact RCMP or Crime Stoppers.

The police are also asking for any surveillance footage of any suspicious activity recorded in the area around that time.
