Throne Speech speaks specifically to new role of MLA Scott
Thursday's Speech from the Throne speaking specifically to the new role appointed to Fort McMurray-Conklin MLA Don Scott.
The address outlined that the new Associate Minister for Accountability, Transparency and Transformation will review Alberta's Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and oversee fundamental changes to the way the province does business.
"There is also going to be a review of conflict-of-interest issues," said Scott. "I think what has a lot of people very interested is that there is going to be whistleblower legislation."
Scott says he is honoured to have been appointed the task by Premier Alison Redford.
Looking back over the month since he was elected, Scott also says medivac services is one of his priorities.
