Timberlea House Fire Extinguished By Emergency Services

No was injured after a fire destroyed a house in Timberlea.

The blaze broke out on Monday around noon at 157 Paris Crescent, off Parsons Creek.

Fire crews used a cherry lift, otherwise known as a ‘bronto’ to tower over the home and streamed water on top of it to extinguish the flames.

Bronto’s are typically used for high-level structure fires or to reach elevated fires in multi-story buildings.

Deputy Chief of Operations for RES Brad Grainger tells Fort McMurray News they’ve yet to determine the cause.

"The fire had just been put out and we haven't had a chance to get in there and start the investigation. There's still lots of hot spots that are being put out."

Grainger adds as of 1:40 p.m., the house fire was under control.

Everyone was evacuated safely from the residence and there are no reported injuries.
