The Alberta Grits using Highway 63 as a case study for wasteful government spending.
The first day of Spring session saw Liberal MLA Kent Hehr question the Premier's plan for the dangerous route.
Hehr said the PCs inability to balance the books, in spite of billions of dollars in oil sands revenue, has left the province unprepared to invest in critical infrastructure.
Hehr says the Tories don't want admit they have no plan for twinning and is calling for a fair tax system on resources that would allow for improved saving strategies.
The grits say over the course of the last 25 years, the PCs have spent nearly all of the $225 billion in oil sands revenues on daily services and left only $15 billion in the Heritage Trust Fund.
