Local MLA Don Scott was named Associate Minister of Accountability, Transparency & Transformation, reporting to Minister of Service Alberta.
While fellow Wood Buffalo representative, Mike Allen was named to the Treasury Board.
Allen calling it a positive announcement for our region.
"The Premier has to make a decision and form her cabinet based on the skill sets she's looking for, and considering the best for all of the province, certainly our first meetings with caucus and meetings with these caucus members, I know every member that's been appointed to cabinet and I know they're all strong advocates for us as well, so we will continue to work with them and drive the issues of wood Buffalo forward at their level, " said Allen.
