Volunteers Search For Missing Janvier Woman

The search continues for a missing 46-year-old Janvier woman who hasn’t been seen since April.

A group of volunteers are meeting at Mrs. Tatum's old store site at the north end of the hamlet Tuesday morning in an effort to find any traces of Betty Ann Deltess.

Deltess was first reported missing mid-April after she never returned home. Since then Wood Buffalo RCMP have conducted extensive search efforts with members of the Fort McMurray Search and Rescue Society

Deltess is described as Indigenous, 5'5, 150 lbs, with short brown hair and brown eyes.

It's not known what she was wearing as she wasn't seen leaving the house.

Anyone interested in helping search is asked to meet at the old store site at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday – with the search beginning at 10 a.m.

Anyone with information on Deltess’ whereabouts is asked to contact RCMP at 780-788-4040.
