Workers on the drilling rigs up here have a huge percentage of workers who live in the Maritimes and British Columbia. They commute 2 weeks - 24 days in and 1 week - 10 days out and they do not pay for their camp or their plane tickets.

I spend most of my time working on the rigs and there are almost no people working on the rigs who are local.

Well, no wonder the airlines screw us paying folk. While they may not pay their employer for the cam and flights it is a taxable benefit and Revenue Canada takes a big bite of your income for the privilege.
