Mail box rental services?

Mail box rental services?

I am in the process of moving myself and my family to Fort McMurray, in the meantime I was hoping to acquire a local address via a mail box rental service. The local post office has been completely unresponsive to my attempts to contact them, despite attempts from Canada Post customer service in Ottawa to assist, in obtaining even a response from local post office phone numbers. The number for Mailbox Etc./UPS Store is no longer in service. Does anyone know whether or not there are any other options available for this? Has Mailbox Etc. ceased operations in Fort McMurray? Thanks in advance for your help.

Thanks for the quick reply mcmurrian, very much appreciated.

I have already left messages on the PO answering machines, to no avail over the past 2 weeks. Canada Post Customer service in Ottawa has also requested they respond to my query as well... again to no avail, thus far. Apparently there used to be a Mailbox Etc/UPS Store at 9521 Franklin but with no updated address or phone number showing up on google I assumed they are longer operating.

I should be back to Fort McMurray by the end of the month so it will probably be something that's much easier to do in person.

Update.... today I managed to acquire a mailbox at the Sobey's Clearwater PO after about 12 -15 hours on the phone over the past 3 weeks, with more customer service reps than I care to recall.

What an experience it has been dealing with this organization! Individually, for the most part, the people involved are great. However, as a whole I think this company would not fair well if subjected to any sort of competition from the free market. It would appear that mcmurrian is correct in stating that Canada Post is the only option available in FM for mailbox rentals.

If anyone else needs to establish a mailing address prior to arriving in FM I can say, from personal experience, that it is possible as long as you are prepared to be persistent and patient.
