It’s that time of year again – flu season.

Beginning Monday, Alberta Health Services is offering free influenza shots to Albertans six months of age and older.

AHS says they’ve already seen cases and an outbreak of influenza.

Last season, over a six-month period, more than 1,600 people were hospitalized and 64 died because of influenza in Alberta.

Wood Buffalo RCMP were called to the site around 9:40 a.m. Friday after an incident occurred in the Millennium Mine.

“We know the contract employee was working on excavation activities, but we don’t have all the details right now,” said Sneh Seetal, Suncor Spokesperson.

Wood Buffalo RCMP are investigating an “incident” at Suncor Industrial site.

Police were called to the site around 9:40 a.m. Friday after an incident occurred involving one individual.

At this time, the Mounties aren’t saying what happened or the extent of possible injuries.
