No Injuries Reported In Two Separate Collisions On Highway 63

A second collision involving a semi-truck is continuing to cause traffic delays on Highway 63 south of Fort McMurray.

Boyle RCMP responded to the single-vehicle crash at kilometre 56 on Saturday morning.

An investigation determined the driver swerved to avoid a moose on the road resulting in the trailer’s load of sulphur being spilled onto the highway.

The driver was not injured.

Operation ReLeaf is a-go in Fort McMurray.

Tree Canada’s mission to re-forest the RMWB kicked off today at Helen Pacholko park where many residents and volunteers were on hand – getting down and dirty.

Jayman BUILT MS Walk Makes Triumphant Return After One Year Hiatus

Hundreds of residents laced up to take part in a unified demonstration against multiple sclerosis.

One year after the wildfire forced the cancellation of the 2016 event, Fort McMurray residents were out in groves to support the return of the walk.

The community was invited to Snye Point Park to join Communities in Bloom as they unveiled Canada's 150th Anniversary Tulip Garden.

FMPSD Holds Sod Turning Ceremony To Mark École McTavish Expansion

The Fort McMurray Public School District held a sod turning ceremony on Friday to mark the expansion of cole McTavish.

The school, which currently has around 680 grades 7-9 students, is being expanded to include grades 10-12.

Wood Buffalo RCMP Seize Nearly 400 Fentanyl Pills During Traffic Stop

Three Fort McMurray residents face drug-related charges after Wood Buffalo RCMP seized nearly 400 fentanyl pills during a traffic stop.

Police pulled the trio over on Wednesday and found 390 pills.

28-year-old Mark Kelly-Audley, 29-year-old Krystal Audley, and 32-year-old Nathaniel Stewart were arrested and have been charged with the possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.
