No one was injured after a man allegedly broke into a downtown Fort McMurray home and shot at a resident with a crossbow.
Wood Buffalo RCMP say on October 21 around 6 p.m. they responded to a call about someone going through a homeowners yard near Huggard Street and Hugues Avenue.
An early investigation shows the suspect entered a nearby home, stole a crossbow and fired it at someone.
No one was injured in the incident.
As a result, 23-year-old Alstair James Janvier was arrested and faces a number of charges including, assault with a weapon, possession of property obtained by crime, breaking and entering, possession of a controlled substance, and mischief.
He’s scheduled to appear in a Fort McMurray courtroom on November 7.
